Economic cooperation between Slovenia and the countries of the Scandinavian-Baltic region
The Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland) cover only 1.9% of the total Slovenian foreign trade, while the Baltic country Estonia represent only 0.1% of the total Slovenian foreign trade.
Economic cooperation with the Nordic and Baltic countries is very modest and there is much potential for further enhancement of cooperation and intertwining of economies, the promotion of Slovenian exports, attracting investors to Slovenia and further increase of the the tourist flows to Slovenia.
One of the main duties of our Embassy is encouraging Slovenian companies to penetrate markets of Scandinavian-Baltic region. We would like to raise interest and awareness of Slovenian companies on these markets and the opportunities and challenges that these markets bring, as well as educate them about the correct approach to these markets, which are very innovative, highly environmentally oriented, and on the other hand also "conservative" in opting for something new.
